What’s Not Included

We’ve built this retreat to feel as effortless as possible—so you can land, exhale, and let the week carry you. There are just a few personal-choice pieces that sit outside the retreat package (the stuff that depends on how you like to travel, what you decide to book, and what you’re craving when we’re out exploring), and we’re sharing them here so everything feels super clear and stress-free.

Travel Insurance

Because our retreat bookings are non-refundable, we highly recommend adding travel insurance—New England winters have claimed retreaters before, and we’re not letting a surprise storm (or life stuff) mess with your beach plans ❄️➡️🏝️

Where to get it:
  • Through your airline at checkout (easy, but usually more basic coverage)
  • A travel insurance comparison site like InsureMyTrip or Squaremouth (great for comparing plans + prices)
  • Direct from a provider like Allianz, Travelex, Seven Corners, or World Nomads (pick what fits your trip best)

Round-trip Airfare & Arrival Airport Transfer

Airfare and arrival transportation are not included—and trust us, there’s a good reason for that.

After hosting multiple retreats, we’ve learned that coordinating group airport pickups sounds wonderfully organized in theory. In reality, someone gets delayed, someone misses a connection, someone lands early, someone’s luggage decides to spend an extra day in Miami, and suddenly half the group is waiting while the other half is still negotiating with an airline.

We’ve found that everyone is happier when they can travel on their own schedule and arrive when it works best for them.

We’ll provide recommendations for flights, transportation options, and everything you need to get to the retreat property with confidence. Whether you’re the type who books six months in advance or the type who somehow finds a flight at 11:47 PM three days before departure, we’ve got you covered.

We Recommend

For many guests, the easiest and most affordable option is to fly into San Juan (SJU) and take a short local flight to Aguadilla (BQN). These flights are typically around $65–$75 and often provide more flexible options from Providence (PVD) and Boston (BOS).

A complimentary shuttle to Aguadilla Airport (BQN) will be available at 10:00 AM on departure day for guests who reserve a seat in advance.

Tips + Gratuity

💛 Gratuity is not included in your retreat price. Tipping is never required and is always at your discretion, but it’s a meaningful way to show appreciation when someone goes above and beyond.

Drivers

Whether they’re navigating winding roads, sharing local recommendations, helping with luggage, or getting us where we need to be safely and on time, our drivers play a bigger role in the experience than most people realize.

When traveling as a group, we’ll take care of gratuities for our drivers. If you receive exceptional service, are personally accommodated, or simply feel someone went above and beyond, you’re always welcome to offer an additional tip directly. As a general guideline, 15–20% of the fare is customary for individual transportation.

1:1 Services

Private sessions are offered by skilled practitioners who share their time, expertise, and unique gifts throughout the retreat. If a session leaves you feeling especially supported, inspired, relaxed, or cared for, many guests choose to express their appreciation with a gratuity. While entirely optional, approximately 20% is common for private sessions.

Our Culinary Team

Let’s be honest—great food has the power to make a good retreat even better.

Our culinary team will spend the week preparing beautiful meals, accommodating dietary needs, keeping us nourished, and making sure nobody has to think about grocery shopping, meal prep, or dishes. Guests who would like to show their appreciation are welcome to contribute to a group gratuity for the culinary team. A contribution of $60–100 is suggested, though we encourage everyone to give based on their personal experience and level of satisfaction.

Exploring Beyond the Retreat

If you plan to spend time exploring Puerto Rico before, after, or during the retreat, it’s a good idea to carry a little cash for taxis, local guides, baggage handlers, and other small expenses that may pop up along the way.

Beach Day Shenanegans

No great adventure should be planned down to the minute.

One evening during the retreat, we’ll head into Rincón for a little free-range exploring. Spend the afternoon browsing local shops, discovering your new favorite beach, sipping something cold while watching the sunset, or simply wandering without an agenda for a change.

Dinner this evening is intentionally left open so you can explore the local food scene and enjoy Puerto Rico at your own pace. Whether that means fresh seafood by the water, tacos from a tucked-away local spot, or dessert first followed by absolutely no regrets, the choice is yours.

Because this is a free evening, meals, shopping, drinks, and other personal expenses are not included in your retreat package.

Think of it as a chance to trade the itinerary for curiosity and see where the evening takes you.
